Please Get Involved, Its Fun!

You can get involved in three ways:

1. By volunteering to help – Thousands of people attend Copmanthorpe Carnival and there is a dedicated team of local residents behind the Carnival every year but without the hundreds of volunteers who give a few hours of their time the Carnival just wouldn’t happen

19391928076_966ff3be31_zIf you can spare some time and enjoy helping your friends and neighbours to have a good time please contact Martin Pickard on 01904 705530 or email him at  Whether its selling programmes in a few streets near your home in the weeks leading up to the Carnival, helping to set up the stage and stalls at the Rec Centre on the Friday and/or Saturday morning, helping to manage a stall or helping to clear up afterwards you’ll enjoy the experience of being an important part of this annual village event. All volunteers benefit from free entry to the Carnival and free refreshments.

2. By advertising in the Carnival Programme. Seen by thousands of people and mostly purchased in advance of Carnival day so it stays around the house being read – ideal advertising space.

Advertising rates for 2017 were held at last year’s prices:

  • £40 for a quarter page

  • £60 for a half page

  • £90 for a full page

  • all plus 50% for colour

Unfortunately the deadline for advertising in the 2017 Programme has now passed but, to pre-book your 2018 advert, please contact:

3. By having a stall – Stalls at the Carnival are very reasonably priced given19422570981_1fb3c3124e_m that last year 5,000 people all spent several hours on the Carnival ground.  Stalls each measure 4mt x 4mt and come complete with one trestle table.  Double pitches may be booked but places are allocated on a first come – first served basis. Only a few spaces left now!

If you would like to have a stall at the Carnival please contact us for prices and to book a space.

4. By having a Brilliant Day – by attending the Carnival, on the day itself or at any of the events that lead up to it, you are helping the Recreation Centre to continue its work providing a much enjoyed village facility and ensuring its continuing availability.
