The 2019 Carnival line-up is taking shape! These are the bands who’ll be performing this year and scroll down for some of the many other attractions:

The Bands:

  • 12.05 – 12.15 – Introduction

  • 12.15 – 12.45 – Collapse the Arcade

    • An indie rock band from Yor­k, formed through the love of music across the music scene. They can’t wait to show Copmanthorpe what they are about. Their debut single, Smoke Screens and Mirrors, is out Friday the 15th of June and they are very excited to let everyone hear how hard they have worked. Many more singles to come, so watch out for them and get yourself to Copmanthorpe Carnival where they promise you a great afternoon!
  • 13.05 – 13.40 – The Hitmen

    • The Hitmen are a seasoned bunch of professional musicians who have played in various bands. They got together just over a year ago and play hit songs from the 60’s. They sincerely hope you enjoy the 60­’s experience.
  • 14.00 – 14.30 – The Silents

    • The Silents are a female fronted rock and roll covers band from York. Formed in 2016 The Silents play covers from Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, David Bowie, Rolling Stones, The Stone Roses and many more.  www.thesilents.co.uk 

  • 14.50 – 15.20 – The Mix

    • The Mix are one of the UK’s finest cover bands specialising in functions, weddings, birthdays and special events. This four piece band have built up an extensive catalogue of covers, ranging through a unique blend of rock, pop, funk and modern anthems.  The Mix is made up of highly experienced and versatile professional musicians, who between them have supported acts such as Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys and have appeared on Radio One, performed at Glastonbury Festival and have recorded at BBC Maida Vale Studios. 

  • 15.40 – 16.10 – The Feens

    • As heard on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing North Yorkshire, Amazing Radio and Soccer AM. The Feens are: Freddie Schmuck (vocals & guitar), Adam Lodge (vocals & bass) Sam Dowling (lead guitar) and Perrie Bunton (drums) – hailing from Scarborough, North Yorkshire. “They’re making waves in their coastal hometown. It’s hardly surprising. I’m really excited about this band” – Jericho Keys (BBC RADIO).  Tipped by This Feeling & Fred Perry Subculture as part of their #Bigin2019.  Latest single ‘Freedom’ play-listed by Spotify on New Music Friday, All New Indie, The Indie List, Indie Highlights and Hot New Bands. As well as Annie Mac’s ‘Best New Music’.

  • 16.30 – 17.00 – Follow The Giants

    • Blistering Indie Rockers hailing form Yorkshire, Follow the Giants are capturing audience’s attention and motivating with their catchy choruses and absolute belters.  Inspired by bands such as Catfish and The Bottlemen and The Hunna, you’ll be singing along to the songs in no time.

  • 17.15 – 18.00 – CopOwt

    • Copmanthorpe’s own CopOwt have been on the York pub and club circuit for the last 11 years playing punk, indie and pop covers. See https://www.facebook.com/CopOwt/
